The Retromancers have been rocking out for 10 years, and it\u2019s been a blast playing at some of Seattle’s best spots. And we are so super grateful for our awesome fans. But it\u2019s time to say that it\u2019s been a long road, and we must now announce that Retromancers will be taking an extended hiatus to explore new opportunities. We want to thank you all for sticking with us and we hope to see you out there at the clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This may not be the complete end of the road, but it\u2019s a turning point on this long road. Just remember, roads can sometimes lead you back to where you started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Retromancers played several great venues this year and we thank you all for showing up and supporting us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We performed at the iconic Blue Moon Tavern in the U-District in May. There, we were joined by our friends, Legal Issues (very appropriate name for a band made up of lawyers and scientists…really…no shit!). We missed our first opportunity to play there a couple of years ago as we were slowly, but not totally leaving Covid behind us, so this was a great thrill to play the same stage as Tina Turner (yes, THAT Tina Turner, and yep again…no shit!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, we returned to our home….The Skylark Cafe in West Seattle. We always love playing here and we were joined by a new band, Fools In The Rain (a Led Zeppelin tribute band) and our old friends Pirate Radio. It doesn’t get much better!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 28th, we performed at Tim’s Tavern<\/a>–where we were joined by our friends, Project33<\/a> and Fools In The Rain at this great White Center live music venue. It was a great night with two other, very fine, bands. And we played at Tim’s new indoor seating stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING THE SKYLARK CAFE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Many of you who enjoy local, live music in Seattle, may be aware that The Skylark Cafe in West Seattle has to relocate due to the upcoming light rail station plans by the City Of Seattle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the City’s offer for relocation help is far short of what the real costs will be, we are asking you to join The Skylark in helping by supporting the Move The Skylark program. They are fundraising in order to acquire a new venue and to help the staff maintain their lives during the transition. Thus, we are seeking your assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
