Outstanding Classic Rock and New Wave Music

The Retromancers are an energetic, multifaceted, band with influences and music covering classic rock and New Wave (and points in between), covering everyone from Led Zeppelin to Pat Benatar and Talking Heads to The Cars. The band consists of Andrew Barash and Dave Giamalis on guitars, Hannah Kramer on lead vocals, Michael Smith on bass and Bill Pearce on drums. The Retromancers have been playing since 2015.

With an emphasis on playing great upbeat music, The Retromancers features Hannah’s powerful vocals out front.  Bringing the fire and brimstone to bear, our two great guitarists, Andrew and Dave, do some serious shredding. And the thunder and lightning are brought to you by Bill and Michael.

So come to one of our shows, have some fun, and enjoy the music as brought to you by five talented folks who want you to have a good time!

Check out our Set List. We tailor our Set List for each venue and provide short gigs (45 minutes where we share the venue with one or two other bands) to longer, evening sets of 90+ minutes.

A New Year

Wow, it’s been an eventful few months since we last played. But we’ve all been work projects or taking vacations and getting in some music time with other great musicians in the area during the break. But the need to play together is strong!

And we haven’t been sluffing off either, we’ve been working on new songs to add to our rotation, and we can’t wait to get back on the road, ready to kick your ass with some fine rock and roll! We’re still scheduling gigs so be sure to check back here for updates.

UPCOMING EVENTS AND NEWS

After a lengthy hibernation, The Retromancers Are Back!! And man, has the world changed!! So, it’s time to kick out the jams and get to playing some live music.

We just finished a gig at the iconic Blue Moon Tavern in the U-District. There, we were joined by our friends, Legal Issues (very appropriate name for a band made up of lawyers and scientists…really…no shit!). We missed our first opportunity to play there a couple of years ago as we were slowly, but not totally leaving Covid behind us, so this was a great thrill to play the same stage as Tina Turner (yep, THAT Tina Turner, and yep again…no shit!).

The Skylark Cafe–Friday, May 23rd, 2025. We’re back to our home base for this show featuring Pirate Radio and a new band we’re happy to be hooking up with….Fools In The Rain, a Led Zeppelin cover band!.

Tim’s Tavern–Saturday, June 28th, 2025. Our friends, Project33 and Fools In The Rain will be joining us at this great White Center live music venue.

SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING THE SKYLARK CAFE

Many of you who enjoy local, live music in Seattle, may be aware that The Skylark Cafe in West Seattle has to relocate due to the upcoming light rail station plans by the City Of Seattle.

As the City’s offer for relocation help is far short of what the real costs will be, we are asking you to join The Skylark in helping by supporting the Move The Skylark program. They are fundraising in order to acquire a new venue and to help the staff maintain their lives during the transition. Thus, we are seeking your assistance..
